Thrive in the community

Our Thrive in the Community Program is a structured, fully community-based support designed to build independence, social confidence, and real-world life skills.

Participants engage in meaningful, outcome-focused activities within real environments, including public transport training, social outings, budgeting, and everyday living skills. By learning in the community, participants develop practical skills they can confidently apply in their daily lives.

With flexible support ratios and door-to-door transport included, this program offers a supportive, engaging, and accessible way to work towards individual NDIS goals.

What Participants will gain

Programs Structure

Participants in the Thrive in the Community Program will build practical, real-world skills that support greater independence and confidence in everyday life. Through structured, community-based activities, participants will develop the ability to navigate public spaces, use public transport, and engage more comfortably in social environments.

The program supports the development of communication skills, decision-making, and problem-solving, as well as improved confidence when interacting with others in the community. Participants will also build important life skills such as money handling, budgeting, and managing daily tasks like shopping and meal preparation.

In addition, participants will benefit from improved routine, physical wellbeing, and emotional regulation through consistent engagement in meaningful activities. All supports are aligned to individual NDIS goals, ensuring participants are making measurable progress toward increased independence and community participation.

The Thrive in the Community Program runs three days per week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Each session is fully community-based, with participants engaging in structured, real-world activities across a variety of local settings.

This consistent routine supports the development of independence, confidence, and practical life skills, while still allowing flexibility to tailor activities to individual goals and interests.

Our program includes a variety of structured, community-based activities designed to build real-world skills and confidence. These may include public transport training, café ordering and social skills, community outings (such as the zoo, bowling, and local events), health and wellbeing activities, and cooking and meal preparation.

Each activity is tailored to support individual goals while encouraging independence and meaningful participation in the community.
